Good news – better weather is (finally!) coming. Being a bit (read: a lot) of a sun worshipper, this heatwave is seriously welcome for me! But with the warmer weather comes a bit of a summer workwear dilemma: how to feel polished and put together day-to-day, without sweltering to death.
In my book, shirt dresses are the perfect summer workwear item. They’re floaty and lightweight, so are great for a bit of, erm, ventilation… While also looking effortlessly chic and timeless. I find shirt dresses are also super comfy, so they’re fab to work from home in, too. (Did someone say “desk to beer garden”…?!)
Happily shirt dresses are embarrassingly easy to style, too – just chuck them on, pair with some smart sandals/espadrilles, and go! Don’t forget to accessorise with the obligatory moan about how hot it is, every 10 minutes…
Here’s some recent favourite shirt dresses I’ve spotted in case you want to pop one into your summer workwear rotation.
